Bishop Rock Consulting is an independent buy-side research firm focused on public and private equity research in the Asia-Pacific and African regions, since 2013. We conduct custom research for institutional investor clients on their existing and potential investment positions. For commodities investors, we provide demand and supply estimate research on various soft commodities, base metals and energy commodities. We also provide policy and political research across various countries in the Asia-Pacific and African regions.

Who We Are
Bishop Rock Consulting was founded in 2013 by Niren Shah, an investment, risk and strategic consulting professional with over fifteen years of experience. Niren is a former Kroll and KPMG risk consultant and five years spent working exclusively for one of the world's most prominent activist investment firm. We now have over a dozen hedge fund and private equity investor clients across the world, investing in different geographies and sectors, following varied investment strategies.
At Bishop Rock Consulting we cater to global institutional investors in various markets including India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia the Middle East and some African nations.
We carry out bottom-up fundamental research on investment opportunities across different strategies including long-only, long-short, event driven, risk arbitrage, distressed debt and activist investing.
We are industry/sector agnostic. We have worked on a variety of sectors including banking, TMT, entertainment, consumer goods, consumer durables, mining, oil and gas, fertilizers, industrials and logistics. In addition, we have experience researching soft commodities, base metals, thermal coal and natural gas with a special focus on South Asian demand and supply.
We are also well-versed with geopolitics in South and Southeast Asia, Central Asia and the Americas.
